Who Can Apply?

o    Participating candidates should be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

o    The age of applying candidates should not be more than 28 years and should not be less than 20 years.

o    Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category candidates. To see the relaxation, candidates need to see below.

o    Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer)  (3 years)

o    Ex-serviceman - duration of service in Defense  + (3 Years)

Essential Qualification

o    Candidate must hold the Graduation Degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.

o    Those candidates who are appearing in the last year of Graduation /Semester are also eligible to apply.

o    Additional Requirements: Computer literacy is an extra needed thing when to go with SBI clerk recruitment. Applier must be aware of computer operations and must possess a diploma in computer basics

o    Educational Qualification - must have completed graduation degree in any discipline.

Job Responsibilities of Clerk in the bank

For customers, Clerk is the first point of contact for enquiries & guidance. Clerk post is an important part of every bank. o    Handling deposit and withdrawal cash is the primary work of the clerk. Along with that clerk also undertakes the receipt of cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, and pay orders.

o    Payment clearance works like Verify cheques, issue demand drafts, etc.

o    Maintain a daily record of balance.

o    Perform various back office works like receipts collection, ledger maintenance, balance tally, data entry, issue ESI stamps, typing other necessary bank information served to the customers, etc.

o    Issue cheque books after authentication of clients.

o    In some of the bank clerk also plays a significant role in the marketing of financial products of the bank such as loans, mutual funds, deposits, schemes, etc.

          The SBI Clerk Mains Exam will consist of four sections with total 190 questions of 200 marks. The duration of SBI Clerk Main Exam is 2 hours 40 min.

o    Reasoning Ability Paper (35 Questions - 35 Marks)

o    Quantitative Aptitude Paper (35 Questions - 35 Marks)         

o    English Language Paper (30 Questions - 30 Marks)

      Total 100 Questions & 100 Marks

 Phase II - Mains

o    Reasoning (50 Questions & 60 Marks)

o    General Awareness Paper (40 Questions & 40 Marks)

o    Quantitative Aptitude  (50 Questions & 50 Marks)

o    English Language (40 Questions & 40 Marks)

                  Duration 2 Hrs 40 Minuts
